L&W Supply has announced the strategic restructuring of its regional divisions as the company expands. In addition, the company has announced corresponding promotions for associates in the new regions and districts, effective Jan. 1.
L&W Supply’s 250+ branches are organized into regions and districts, enabling teams to deliver specialized services tailored to the unique needs of each locality. The restructured regions will provide even greater focus on the specific needs of customers within them. The regions include North Atlantic, Pacific, South Central, South Atlantic and the newly established North Central region. The districts the regions now serve are as follows:
- North Atlantic: Eastern Mountain, New England, NY Metro, Mid-Atlantic and Chesapeake
- Pacific: Northwest, Northern California, Southern California and Mountain West
- South Central: Heartland, Red River, Texas and Mid-South
- South Atlantic: Triangle-Triad, Carolinas, Georgia, Florida Atlantic, Gulf Coast and Southeast Florida
- North Central: Northern Plains, Midwest, East Central and Great Lakes
“This strategic shift is about aligning L&W Supply’s structure with the ever-evolving market as we grow,” said L&W Supply President Dan Piché. “The addition of our new North Central region underscores our dedication to providing top-notch service that is catered specifically to the unique needs of our customers.”
To support this restructuring, L&W Supply announced the following promotions within the organization:
North Central Region
Mark Woodsum was named vice president of the North Central region. Since joining L&W Supply, Woodsum has held many roles, including branch manager of the Roselle, Illinois, location; national metal merchandising manager; Upper Midwest district manager and regional business manager. In this new role, Woodsum will be responsible for leading the North Central region to expand its footprint, optimize its processes and reinforce L&W Supply’s commitment to customer and vendor relationships.
Evan Jaques was named manager of the Northern Plains district. Jaques joined L&W Supply in 2020 as an outside sales representative at the West Allis, Wisconsin, location and was promoted to branch manager the same year.
Nick Makar was named manager of the Midwest district. Makar joined L&W Supply in 2019 as a part of the Accelerated Manager Training Program. Makar worked in various positions throughout L&W Supply’s Illinois branches in Roselle, Warrenville and Chicago before being named branch manager of the Chicago location in 2021.
South Central Region
Steve Ham was named manager of the new Mid-South district. Ham has been in the distribution industry for 25 years, spending 19 of those years with L&W Supply. Ham has held various roles, including branch manager, regional sales manager, outside sales representative, delivery service manager and inside sales representative. In his most recent role, Ham led L&W Supply’s sales and training efforts.
South Atlantic Region
Marcos Ribeiro was named manager of the company’s newly created Southeast Florida district. During his 16 years with USG International and L&W Supply, Ribeiro has held several positions, including branch manager in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, areas.
North Atlantic Region
Jon Donegan was named manager of the New England district. As part of L&W Supply’s acquisition of Merrimack Building Supply in 2021, Donegan joined the company as a managing partner of the Merrimack, New Hampshire, location.
