Industrial Louvers, Inc. and Verta, Inc. announced a leadership transition as long-serving CEO and President Jo Reinhardt retires, passing the baton to Brett Reinhardt, now president of both ILI and Verta.
Brett began his journey with ILI and Verta two decades ago, starting a career rich in diverse experiences within the organizations. He has demonstrated expertise in estimating, project management, sales and marketing and has overseen drafting, engineering, operations and finishing. He holds a marketing management degree from the University of St. Thomas and has further enhanced his skills through various training programs, including the University of St. Thomas Mini MBA Program and the Manufacturers Alliance Lean Practitioner Program.
Brett has been an active participant in industry associations, contributing as a member and chair of several committees of the Air Movement and Control Association. Beyond his professional commitments, Brett is deeply involved in community service, volunteering and coaching youth athletics.
Jo, the outgoing CEO, leaves behind a remarkable legacy. Her tenure saw numerous achievements, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Gold Eclipse Award for Outstanding Company Culture and the 2014 bronze award for Manufacturing CEO of the Year from Twin Cities Business.
The Reinhardt family’s leadership at ILI dates back to 1971, when Jo’s father, James Sterriker, and a group of investors acquired the struggling industrial division. Jo joined the company in 1982, starting as a part-time drafter. Overcoming initial skepticism, she rose through the ranks and assumed the role of CEO and president in 1999.
Under Jo’s leadership, ILI experienced substantial growth. Her vision and ambition led to strategic initiatives, recognized with awards for outstanding company culture and manufacturing excellence.
As he takes over the reins, Brett is well prepared for the role, with experience in the core aspects of the business. His leadership is expected to build upon the strong foundation Jo laid.
“I have full confidence in Brett’s abilities to lead Industrial Louvers and Verta,” Jo stated, reflecting on the transition. “His dedication and extensive experience make him the ideal successor. I look forward to witnessing the continued success of both organizations under his guidance.”
Brett expressed gratitude for the opportunity and shared his vision for the future. “I am honored to lead Industrial Louvers and Verta into the next chapter,” he said. “Building on the legacy established by Jo and the entire team, we will continue to innovate, adapt and drive growth.”
The transition comes at a time when ILI is celebrating achievements, including sustainable practices, operational enhancements and the overcoming of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company remains committed to excellence, environmental responsibility and the communities it serves.
