Welcome to another year of Walls & Ceilings’ annual round-up of the leading contractors in the country. As in past years, the Top 50 Contractors list brings together the industry’s most progressive and resourceful subcontractors.
As we’ve done for the past decade, contractors submitted their information via our W&C Top 50 submission page. This allowed our contractors to tell us their story and why they feel they are among the best. It is always excellent to hear from all the different and varying voices in our industry.
From our perspective, these 50 contractors have displayed numerous skillsets that warrant them to be among the best. We encourage W&C readers to visit these company’s websites and you’ll see portfolios that showcase these subcontractors’ work and their stories. What makes these companies successful is their collective desire to stay progressive, ambitious and quality-focused. That means employing new technology, actively looking for new products, competitive employment opportunities, safety departments and so much more. All in all, their talents have sustained their business model and made them industry leaders.
“Each year, the submissions grow and the list is very difficult to select—there’s an abundance of quality wall and ceiling contractors in this country,” says John Wyatt, the magazine’s editor. “The criteria to determine who makes the list is massively difficult and very rewarding. Each year, we learn more and more about our readership and it’s important we listen to every voice. In 2024, we not only looked at certain metrics (size, revenue/profit, scope of work, workforce) but also wanted to see what the contractors had to say about how they view the future and how they choose to invest in it. We’re proud of everyone that made this roster, but also those that did not. There are loads of companies doing outstanding work.”
Some of the Top 50 contractors reflect companies that have been around for decades, while some are still in their early years. Yet, many of these have spoken to us of their plans for growth and to create some type of legacy.
In short, the turn-out of submissions this year was again very strong.
It pleases us to see all the submissions and we thank everyone that wanted to be a part of this annual feature. The magazine anticipates that the number of entrants will continue to climb for next year and we look forward to reading and accepting all of your submissions.
Walls &Ceilings congratulates this year’s Top 50 winners.
