Who FWCCA Humanitarian Outreach Is
Humanitarian Outreach Fund is a charity division of the FWCCA that supports fundraising goals for a variety of charities across Florida and the United States.
Its Vision and Mission
The fund’s vision is to contribute monetary funding to organizations that offer essential life support and wellness care to those in need. Its mission is in support of raising money and awareness, helping veterans and their families; first responders, including law enforcement who lost their lives in the line of duty; cancer research; children’s hospitals and other charities of a similar nature.
Perhaps the most fundamental reason to support fundraisers is the opportunity to make a tangible and positive impact in someone’s life. Your contribution can provide critical resources, support and relief to individuals or communities facing challenges. This is the impact FWCCA determined to make yearly.
Guidelines for Selection
Charitable organizations to receive funds will be reviewed annually and selected based on merit or needs at the time. This will be decided via mail ballot by members, based on recommendations by the FWCCA Board of Directors annually. Once ballots are received, the charity with the most support will receive the funds each following year.
Annual Distribution of Funds
The FWCCA Board of Directors will donate 75 percent of the net proceeds to the selected organization each year at the Annual Industry Awards Luncheon held in conjunction with the FWCCA convention each July. Twenty-five percent of the remaining account balance will be retained as an annuity base for the following year.
All contributions must be made out to the Humanitarian Outreach Fund. A full accounting will be provided upon request by a member.
