For many years, the Gypsum Association has published several technical documents in Spanish, as well as English. Are there plans to introduce Spanish-language offerings to the GA’s YouTube channel?
GA-216 (Application and Finishing of Gypsum Panel Products) is colloquially known as the “Drywall Hanger’s Bible.” The publication provides detailed information about hanging interior gypsum panels of every type and under a wide variety of circumstances commonly encountered in the field. The GA has long been committed to making this resource available to Spanish speakers in print. Now, GA Spanish-language offerings extend to YouTube. The association recently released the second Spanish-language video in its “GA-216 Explained” series. So far, the series includes videos on gypsum panels in wet areas, as well as gaps and bottom-edge spacing. The next video in the series will focus on what GA-216 has to say about fasteners. GA operations administrator Vianney Herrera narrates “GA-216 Explained” videos in both languages.
