New black Gridstone Gypsum Ceiling Panels raise the bar for spaces that demand both style and durability. Perfect for restaurants, hotels and other commercial interiors, the black panels combine striking aesthetic appeal with the practical benefits of straightforward installation and low maintenance.

Manufactured by Gold Bond Building Products LLC and provided by National Gypsum Company, Gridstone’s black panels are available in both 2-foot-by-2-foot and 2-foot-by-4-foot sizes, while their precise construction allows for clean scoring and snapping, ensuring that the installation process is quick and straightforward.

“Gridstone’s new black ceiling panels bring a modern feel to any commercial space, with a look that’s as bold as it is versatile,” said Sam Halverson, construction services manager at National Gypsum. “Plus, they’re incredibly easy to install in standard 15/16-inch exposed grid systems, allowing contractors and property owners to save time and lower labor costs.”

Backed by a 15-year limited warranty, black Gridstone Gypsum Ceiling Panels help create a sophisticated and contemporary look for traditional drop ceilings. The panels are factory finished with a 2 mil. black vinyl laminate facer that complements a wide range of interior design styles. Once the panels are installed, the washable service only requires simple, periodic cleaning to maintain their bold appearance.

“With black ceilings growing in popularity, our new black Gridstone panels combine the functionality of our popular white vinyl gypsum ceiling panels with a black laminate that eliminates the need for additional painting,” Halverson said. “These panels also feature a noncombustible gypsum core that ensures fire safety with 1-1/2-hour and 2-hour fire ratings in specific UL designs achievable depending on installation.”
