October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and, since 2020, CertainTeed and Susan G. Komen have partnered to fight off the disease, which impacts millions of lives.

This year is no different. From October 2024 to October 2025, CertainTeed Gypsum will donate a percentage of sales from each co-branded GlasRoc Sheathing board — displaying the iconic pink ribbon — sold to Susan G. Komen, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $120,000. The contributions help to further promote breast cancer awareness, drive medical research and provide support to those affected by this disease.

Recently, Kate Paine, CertainTeed VP of Corporate Marketing and a breast cancer survivor, had the chance to attend the ringing of the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange alongside Susan G. Komen’s president and CEO, Paula Schneider.

“What a privilege to represent CertainTeed as we rang the bell with Susan G. Komen to open trading on the NYSE,” Paine said. “SGK has such an incredible scale and has galvanized millions around the world to fight breast cancer through early detection and prevention, medical research and advocacy. I was so proud to represent our GlasRoc branded partnership, with proceeds from every single board of GlasRoc sheathing sold in the U.S. benefitting this cause. GlasRoc is one of our most popular products, and the scale of our partnership has a wide impact on many lives, giving the gift of life to our daughters, sisters and mothers.”

CertainTeed is proud of supporting causes, like Susan G. Komen, to help make the world a better home.
