ClarkDietrich has introduced Pro-Flex300 to its Strait-Flex portfolio of drywall finishing products. Pro-Flex300 is a muddable, PVC-free, flexible corner bead that wipes down in as little as one pass.

“This bead was designed with the pro in mind,” said Ryan Mitchell, category manager of finishing systems for ClarkDietrich. “It installs quickly and easily — no cracks, no call-backs! Finishing with as little as one pass saves drywall contractors valuable time on the job.”

Pro-Flex300 installs with half the amount of compound needed when compared to standard corner beads. Because the paper surface is pretreated to accept paint, finishing compound is not required over the laminated area.

Made with a reinforced paper-backing that adds durability and impact resistance, Pro-Flex300 will not fuzz up during finish sanding like paper and mesh tapes. A heavyweight, diamond-punched paper provides maximum adhesion for a seamless laydown of the paper edge and reduced edge-cracking, while a smooth nose provides a square, low profile so that drywall knives will not catch, snag or puncture the center hinge.

The 3-inch corner bead features a memory-free hinge that can be adjusted to any angle, creating perfect inside and outside 90-degree or off-angle corners, including bay windows and vaulted, coffered and tray ceilings. The extra width makes it ideal for corners where gaps are present or where a large fill or straightening is required, no backfilling needed.

The PVC-free corner bead offers a superior choice for green building projects. Additionally, Pro-Flex300 is packaged in 100-foot rolls that can be cut to the desired length in the field to minimize scrap loss.
