Innovation MgOTM is a series of magnesium oxide cement sheathing products supplied by US MgO Co. It was launched in early 2024 to introduce innovative MgO panel products into the North American design and construction industries.

Later this year, US MgO will introduce the first U.S.-made MgO panel for exterior and interior walls from its first of two manufacturing facilities currently being constructed. Comprising a proprietary magnesium oxychloride cement formula and other inorganic materials, the panels are supported by the most rigorous product manufacturing, testing, and quality control standards in the market.

Panels are naturally fire-resistant, provide industry-leading flexural strength and dimensional stability, and offer high durability with six months of weather exposure. The 1/2-inch wall panels are approved for exterior and interior use in all building types I, II, III, IV, & V and are easily installed using traditional tools and methods.

For exterior walls, panels enable direct attachment of light and mid-weight claddings. For interior walls, panels can be installed and finished similarly to drywall, providing superior impact and water resistance compared to gypsum-based panels.

Innovation MgOTM 1/2-inch floor panels provide a structural, fire-resistant flooring underlayment in multifamily applications, while Innovation MgOTM 3/4-inch subfloor panels provide a fire-resistant structural subfloor in commercial applications.
