The recently completed Burns & McDonnell World Headquarters at 9450 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Mo., has been named Project of the Year in the Mid-America Region by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). The 310,000 square-foot, 4-story building also received top honors in the Commercial Buildings category in the annual DBIA competition.
Construction of the first ROCKFON North America manufacturing facility is on schedule to begin production in Mississippi by mid-2017. The exterior shell is taking shape and equipment is scheduled to arrive in the first quarter. A grand opening celebration will be planned once the new facility is operational.

USG Corp. announced that James S. Metcalf will retire as chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 31, 2016. Metcalf has served as president and chief executive officer since January 2011 and as chairman since December 2011.
