The Metal Construction Association’s 2022 Design Awards were announced in October at METALCON, a major industry event held in Indianapolis.

Every year, METALCON gives back to the local community where the show takes place. This year, they have shifted gears due to the immense need for food in Ukraine, and together with showgoers, they are raising money to support World Central Kitchen.

Registration is now open for METALCON 2022, the only global event dedicated exclusively to the application of metal in design and construction. 

The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower).  They were installed by Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, and the architects for the project included Diller Scofidio + Renfro of New York City, and Brininstool + Lynch of Chicago. This project was the first-place winner in ATAS’ 2020 Project of the Year competition, in the commercial walls category.

METALCON announces its 2022 Call for Presentations. The program committee is seeking dynamic presenters who can educate, engage and inspire attendees with presentations on real-world topics, challenges and opportunities in the industry. 

ATAS International took home multiple awards form this year's METALCON, including for a project involving metal walls and top-rated products.

SAF, a global metals distributor, fabricator, and finisher, is marking a series of accomplishments in its 75th year of business with historic sales growth, a new website with refreshed company branding, and the promotion of a current employee into a newly established role within the organization. 

METALCON announces its new safety certificate program in partnership with SafetyWorks, Inc. 

METALCON has announced a variety of new initiatives that provide ongoing educational opportunities and essential training for industry professionals.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and mandates by the state of Nevada, METALCON 2020 cannot take place as planned.
