JLG Industries Inc. offered a first look yesterday at the new ClearSky Smart Fleet, a next-generation Internet of Things platform for true, two-way fleet management and machine interactivity, at the Summit of the International Powered Access Federation in Berlin.

JLG’s parent company, Oshkosh Corporation, announced Nov. 15 that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Hinowa, a manufacturer of track-based aerial work platforms, mini dumpers, lift trucks and undercarriages. Once complete, Hinowa will become part of the Oshkosh Access Equipment segment, which also includes the JLG and Jerr-Dan brands.

JLG now offers its Seat Belt Engagement and Operator Presence option for select telehandler models as an aftermarket accessory available through Online Express.
