On June 15, Mercer Mass Timber – a low-carbon advanced manufacturer of timber building materials and subsidiary of Mercer International Inc. – announced the successful acquisition of Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation and its subsidiaries by parent company Mercer International.

France’s Saint-Gobain announced a deal to acquire privately-owned Building Products of Canada Corp. on June 12 in a nearly $1 billion cash acquisition that solidifies the company’s dominance within the Canadian construction product manufacturing sector.

AD and Torbsa Limited, a building supplies buying group in Canada, are announcing an agreement to merge the two groups. The merger is expected to close July 1, 2022.
