The American Concrete Institute, along with NEU: An ACI Center of Excellence for Carbon Neutral Concrete, will make a key sustainability announcement at COP28, which will take place on Nov. 30 – Dec. 12 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The American Concrete Institute has opened a third Resource Center in Columbia, Maryland, to serve Mid-Atlantic-based communities in the concrete industry.
The ninth annual ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards showcased dozens of innovative concrete projects from around the world. The “Overall Excellence” award was presented to Quay Quarter Tower, located in Sydney.
The ACI Foundation began accepting applications from graduate and undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year on July 5. Eight new fellowships and one new scholarship have been added, bringing the total annual awards to 46.

The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council gathered once again with participants and presenters to discuss technology and innovation at the 2023 Technology Forum. The successful event took place Aug. 29-31 at the Benson Portland A Hilton Curio Collection Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Research Council selected 11 research projects to receive grants this year. The CRC seeks concrete research projects that further the knowledge and sustainability of concrete materials, construction and structures in coordination with ACI Technical Committees.
