The Refractories Institute announced the 2024 recipients of college scholarships for students pursuing an education related to refractory science. TRI, which is comprised of approximately 50 member-companies that operate in the refractory industry, awards scholarships annually.
Simpson Strong-Tie has announced the recipients of its Student Scholarship for the 2024–2025 academic year. The 120 scholarship recipients are undergraduates majoring in architecture, civil/structural engineering or construction management/technology across the country. The scholarship awards $3,000 to qualifying university students to help them meet tuition costs.
The Metal Construction Association announced that five outstanding students affiliated with MCA member-companies have been chosen as the first recipients of the association’s scholarship program. Through this new MCA member benefit, funding has been awarded to five students to help them pursue their dreams.
The application window for the 2024-2025 Simpson Strong-Tie scholarship is now open. The scholarship is available to undergraduate students in civil/structural engineering, architecture and construction management/technology. Recipients of the scholarship will have access to industry contacts, training, job leads and peer connections.

The ACI Foundation began accepting applications from graduate and undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year on July 5. Eight new fellowships and one new scholarship have been added, bringing the total annual awards to 46.
To support the need for skilled trade workers, DEWALT will award $200,000 in scholarships to up to 40 students across the U.S. and Canada. Scholarships will help support trade education in a variety of fields, including construction technology, electrical and plumbing.
