All-Span Inc. announced that it has reached an agreement to outsource a portion of the company’s marketing efforts to Atlanta-based Integrity Marketing Group located in Grayson, Ga. The company is owned by Roy Zeh, former employee of All-Span.

Trimble announced that it has acquired privately held XYZ Solutions Inc., of Alpharetta, Ga., in an all-cash transaction. XYZ Solutions provides real-time, interactive 3-D intelligence software to manage the spatial aspects of a construction project. The software transforms data from various sources into actionable information that can be used in the decision making process to reduce rework and improve productivity for engineering and construction professionals. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to statistics compiled by the Gypsum Association, the United States gypsum board industry shipped a total of 8.362 billion square feet of material during the third calendar quarter (July through September) of 2006. During the same period, Canadian manufacturers shipped 802 million square feet of material.
