Pretty soon, all the leaves are brown. As we slip out of summer next week, this fall provides several shows W&C will be attending and exhibiting at.
Currently in progress is Construct 2012, held in Phoenix this week. Held in conjunction with the 56th CSI Annual Convention, Construct is for the industrial, commercial and institutional building team and the networking hub for thousands of professionals who design, specify, build and procure for successful project management. The show hosts the latest in industry technology, the newest products and most up-to-date solutions partnered with AIA LU/HSW/SD accredited educational programming.
The 2012 Annual ICAA Convention and Trade Show will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas from October 4 through 6. The show is the only national meeting for insulators. Exhibitors at the ICAA Trade Show represent leading insulation manufacturers and suppliers as well as those businesses that complement insulation contracting such as closet shelving, firestopping, health and safety equipment, infrared imaging systems, and computer software.
ICAA will sponsor the annual golf tournament at a Dallas Championship course again this year.
This is ICAA’s 34th Convention and Trade Show, and Executive Director Michael Kwart noted: “ICAA has been a leader in the insulation industry for over three decades. The annual ICAA Convention and Trade Show focuses on the skills and resources that impact insulation contractors. Attendance at the convention is a great business strategy and a chance to get a handle on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.” For more information, call (703) 739-0356 or visit www.insulate.org.
The next week, the METALCON International Conference and Exhibition will take place October 9-11, at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Ill.
The annual event has a blend of product exhibits, educational programs, and demos of the latest field techniques and trends. This annual one-of-a-kind metal tradeshow draws nearly 8,000 designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers from more than 50 countries. Experts from an estimated 300 companies exhibit the latest products and technology and share their knowledge with attendees.
Walls & Ceilings, along with its sister publication Roofing Contractor, will be in attendance and producing a show daily for the event.
For information about exhibiting or attending visit www.metalcon.com or call (800) 537-7765 or (617) 965-0055.
STAFDA’s 36th Annual Convention & Trade Show returns again to Orlando, Fla. With more than 700 booths expected this year, the show, held November 4-6, will be at the Orange County Convention Center. Distributors will see more than 35 different product categories from hundreds of vendors under one roof. Distributors should come prepared to place orders, take advantage of generous terms and show specials, and sign up for prize drawings (available only to attending distributors). They also have the chance to see new products, meet with supplier executives, and source new lines.
The event is closed to non-members, so be sure to contact STAFDA staff for more information. The association’s website is www.stafda.org.
Looking for a pleasant spot to visit in November? Well, the ever-growing Greenbuild Trade Show and Convention will be in San Francisco November 14-16. Several wall and ceiling exhibitors (notably stucco and EIFS manufacturers) will be at this northern California location.
Once again, the magazine along with several other BNP Media related publications will be at this show to report, as well as exhibiting. For more information, visit www.greenbuildexpo.org.
We look forward to seeing you there
