Almost a year ago, I wrote a similar blog calling out that the year is in full swing and the great trade show circus is among us. As I write this, World of Concrete is just spreading its wings in Las Vegas. Although not the most important show for the wall and ceiling industry, it’s always a good show to gauge an overall picture of construction activity. In particular, take note of the abundance of mast climbing, crane and heavy construction equipment in the outdoor pavilion. If it looks fascinating, consider this to be a pulse for good things.
Yet, our industry’s big event will be next month, as several shows and meetings take place in San Antonio. AWCI’s Annual Seminar begins March 18; CISCA the day after; EIMA on March 20 and the INTEX Expo launches on March 21 for two days. It’s a busy but important week.
The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is a good venue for this show and everyone hopes for a good turnout. Now in the country’s Top 10 largest cities, this Texas metropolis provides great architecture, history and a good environment for business.
Walls & Ceilings staff will be at the show and we’d like to meet you. Please look us up while at the event or we’ll bump into you on the River Walk.
