Due to the success of last year’s virtual presentation, this year’s Greenbuild offers a truly unique experience: Attend in-person in San Diego or experience the show via your computer. Greenbuild is the place to be to get inspired and find yourself among other like-minded people in the sustainable building and construction industry. Planning for the 2021 event is still underway.
Educational Opportunities
Last year, thousands of attendees tuned in to the Greenbuild virtual event series. Given the popularity of the education, accessibility and expanded CE offerings, Greenbuild will produce several different events this year. This year’s event will showcase:
Three new summits
Three days of in-person education
Seventy-five plus sessions
Trade show floor to see manufacturers’ latest products
Continuing Education Hours for Education Sessions
Live Virtual Education Sessions: Earn 1 GBCI and AIA hour per hour of education. Attendees must attend at least 80 percent of the session to receive credit.
On-Demand Education Sessions: Earn 1 GBCI hour per hour of education. Attendees must watch the entire video recording from start to finish and complete the survey linked in the session description within 10 minutes after viewing.
Keynotes: Earn 1 GBCI and AIA hour per event.
Virtual Expo Hall Education Labs: Earn 1 GBCI and AIA hour per hour of education.
Virtual Summits
In addition to the education programs to be featured at this year’s show, there will be several virtual summits put on in the coming months. Here’s a selection of those:
Green Business Summit, August 12: This green business masterclass outlines the latest developments in smart buildings, decarbonization and circularity that will immediately shape your work.
Resilience Summit, August 26: Learn the newest research and technology around resilience-enhancing designs, technologies, materials and methods.
Global Health & Wellness Summit, September 9: This virtual summit brings the full leadership eco-system together to discuss how healthy, accessible spaces are being redefined.
A lot of programming and planning is still in the works as Greenbuild fine tunes its excellent and large show. One of the highlights is a keynote speech from Atlanta’s Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Atlanta has been a very progressive city for decades and the city’s green initiatives are still in ascension. Of course, loads of other speakers will be lined up as Greenbuild continues to finalize plans for this September.
