With green building technology entering the mainstream and eco-home concepts spreading their roots faster than ever, the need for designing high-performance building envelopes is repeatedly highlighted. 

Huntsman Corporation announced its agreement to acquire Icynene-Lapolla, a North American manufacturer and distributor of spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation systems for residential and commercial applications, from an affiliate of FFL Partners, LLC.

Icynene-Lapolla, a global supplier and manufacturer of high performance, energy efficient building envelope solutions, launched a new low-pressure, low density, two-component spray polyurethane foam. 

Halo Exterra, a foam board insulation for above-grade exterior insulation applications is also designed to be a water-resistant barrier (which means that no building paper needs to be used).
