Award winners were announced by ATAS for their 2022 Project of the Year competition. There were seven award categories: commercial roofs, commercial walls, residential roofs, residential walls, accents, sustainable and interiors. Each award recognized projects in which ATAS products were incorporated into the design and construction of the building.
The 14th Annual Walter F. Pruter Project of the Year Awards recognizes projects that exemplify the union construction work of the Western Wall & Ceiling Contractors Association contractor members and their partners.
The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower). They were installed by Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, and the architects for the project included Diller Scofidio + Renfro of New York City, and Brininstool + Lynch of Chicago. This project was the first-place winner in ATAS’ 2020 Project of the Year competition, in the commercial walls category.
Six project categories were included in this year’s competition: commercial roofs, commercial walls, residential roofs, residential walls, and two new categories for 2017: accents and interiors.
ATAS International announced their 2016 Project of the Year winners at an awards banquet on May 8th. The Made In America flagship store located in Elma, N.Y. took first place in the commercial roofs category.
The award categories recognize innovative multi- and single-family projects, affordable housing projects and developers, an overall commitment to LEED for Homes and Project of the Year.
