The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, in Louisiana v. Biden, has blocked the Biden Administration from enforcing his COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors in Louisiana, Mississippi and Indiana after the court found that President Biden overstepped his authority.

Honeywell announced its Baton Rouge, Louisiana, facility has doubled production capacity of Honeywell Solstice ze (HFO-1234ze), an ultra-low-global-warming-potential and energy-efficient solution compared to other current technologies. Solstice ze is used in foam insulation, as an aerosol propellant, and in refrigeration and air conditioning applications.

In June, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards signed House Bill 803 into law requiring the statewide adoption of the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code and the 2021 International Residential Code Chapter 11 Energy Efficiency. The Louisiana legislature had previously cleared the bill unanimously.
