The National Center for Construction Education and Research has been recognized as a DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant recipient for its efforts to provide career and technical education programs and industry-recognized credentials to students through the High School Builder Program.
Through its commitment to innovation, safety and productivity, DEWALT has been delivering tools to meet the needs of professional tradespeople around the world since 1924, when Raymond DeWalt’s forward-looking vision resulted in the founding of DEWALT.
To support the need for skilled trade workers, DEWALT will award $200,000 in scholarships to up to 40 students across the U.S. and Canada. Scholarships will help support trade education in a variety of fields, including construction technology, electrical and plumbing.
DEWALT announced three new USB-charging products, including a Mini Bluetooth Speaker as well as a Rechargeable LED Task Light and Rechargeable LED Flashlight. Each is designed to withstand tough job site conditions and provide optimal runtime.
More than half of U.S. contractors (55 percent) say finding enough skilled workers is one of the biggest barriers to growing their business. Inflation (57 percent), insufficient labor (51 percent) and long hours (37 percent) are the three most significant challenges currently facing U.S. contractors.
The 20V MAX* Cordless Drywall Sander is optimized for use in demanding applications, with a telescoping shaft and fully articulating head allow for easy sanding of walls and ceilings in confined spaces and tough-to-reach areas. It is also designed with a head-mounted brushless motor, which maintains constant speed under load while eliminating flex shaft and brush failures.
