The Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council, which sponsors and coordinates the North American Contractor Certification and Architectural Glass and Metal Technician programs, North America’s only third-party credentials for glazing contractors and glaziers, has entered into exploratory talks to identify collaboration opportunities with the National Glass Association, a provider of glass industry resources, such as MyGlassClass.com, technical manuals and industry events.
The Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council hosted its annual meeting in Salt Lake City on Oct. 23-24. During the meeting, AGMCC announced a new website and continued progress with both the North American Contractor Certification and Architectural Glass and Metal Technician programs, North America’s only third-party credentials for glazing contractors and glaziers.
The Skilled Trades Advisory Council has officially earned nonprofit status. Founded one year ago, STAC is comprised of leaders across the construction, retail and skilled trades industries who joined forces to combat the crisis facing skilled labor in the U.S. and Canada.
The American Wood Council submitted a grant proposal to the Environmental Protection Agency aimed at increased transparency in the U.S. wood product industry by further developing Environmental Product Declarations and Product Category Rules for the industry.
A meeting of the AD Chairmans’ Council was held on Jan. 24-25 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The AD Chairmans’ Council is comprised of the chairs of each of AD’s 14 divisional boards.
