The Portland Cement Association, representing America’s cement manufacturers, announced the winners of its Energy and Environment, Chairman’s Safety and Safety Innovation Awards at its 2024 Cement Fly-In in Washington, D.C.
A meeting of the AD Chairmans’ Council was held on Jan. 24-25 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The AD Chairmans’ Council is comprised of the chairs of each of AD’s 14 divisional boards.
Key leadership posts have been announced by Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, leaders in women’s advocacy. Angelica T. Baccon, AIA, has been named chair of BWAF’s Board of Trustees. Baccon is principal at SHoP Architects, which led the design of The Bev, BWAF’s new headquarters and multipurpose space.
The ACI Foundation announced new Trustees and the re-election of an existing Trustee to its Board. The Trustees re-elected the Chair of Trustees — Jeffrey Coleman — and elected a new Trustee — Brett McMahon. New ACI Vice President Maria Juenger also joins the Trustees as part of her new role.
