Gypsum Management and Supply is pleased to announce that Jeff Johnson, corporate safety manager, will be a panelist for an Educational Safety Session on Tuesday, April 19, at the Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries Annual Convention and Intex Expo.
Attendees are encouraged to join GMS at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome from 8 to 9:30 a.m., as Johnson will be co-chairing a discussion on Safety Programs: In-house versus Outsourced.
GMS is excited to be a participant at the two-day event and Jeff Johnson, who has over 28 years of safety management experience, is scheduled to participate in the safety session. GMS Director of Safety and Risk Management, Tom Dumay stated, “Jeff Johnson has a wealth of knowledge in this realm of safety. Not only has he helped achieve decreases in safety issues and health liabilities and costs for GMS and our subsidiaries, but he also has an extensive knowledge of how to efficiently develop safety policies and compliance programs.”
The safety presentation will breakdown the pros and cons of in-house safety programs versus outsourced safety. With over 39 subsidiaries, and more than 3,800 employees, GMS stresses the importance of providing a safe environment for all of their employees, customers, and associates. While there are many steps to good safety practices, this presentation will provide attendees with an abundant amount of information to help make the best safety decisions possible for their company.
Make your way to the “Big Easy” for an extended weekend of fun, excitement and plenty of valuable tips and insights. In addition to their safety presentation, GMS will be exhibiting at booth #433. Be sure to stop by and say hello, as their knowledgeable and friendly team is always looking to build new relationships and connect with old friends.
