LENOX announced the next step in step drill bits with the launch of its new VARI-BIT range. The bits deliver superior performance with 2X longer life* and 50 percent faster starts** that easily drill a wide range of materials including steel, sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and plastics. The next generation VARI-BIT line is ideal for electrical, HVAC, and fabrication applications.

The all new VARI-BIT is designed to give the user more – more speed from the PowerDrive tip, more burr-free cutting, and up to 2X more life. Designed with optimized geometries, the precision ground PowerDrive tip starts on contact with no walking allowing for aggressive cutting and quick penetration. VARI-BIT’s dual-flute cutting edges provide clean, round holes for precise, burr-free holes, while 2X longer life drills more holes in less time

Additionally, hole sizes are laser etched making them easier to read. Select step drill bit sizes feature a ¼” Quick Change shank making them ready to use in an impact driver while other bits feature a 3 flat, 3/8” shank for use with a standard drill. VARI-BIT is available in a variety of hole sizes and numbers as well as the VARI-BIT Extension, VARI-BIT Snap-Back Extension, and 3-Piece and 4-Piece Step Drill Bit Sets.
