Simpson Strong-Tie announced the recipients of its Student Scholarship, part of the company’s Strong-Tie Undergraduate Fellowship program, for the 2024–2025 academic year. The 120 scholarship recipients are undergraduates in their junior and senior years who are majoring in architecture, civil/structural engineering or construction management/technology across the country.
The Simpson Strong-Tie Student Scholarship supports higher education and promotes the design and building of safer structures in our communities by awarding $3,000 apiece to qualifying university students to help them meet tuition costs. The full list of awardees is here.
As Strong-Tie Undergraduate Fellows, first-time scholarship awardees also receive a week-long, all-expenses-paid visit to Simpson Strong-Tie at its California facilities to learn more about the company and its products. This visit includes tours of the company’s state-of-the-art Tyrell Gilb Research Laboratory and a working job site, along with an opportunity to network with industry professionals and the Simpson Strong-Tie executive and senior leadership teams.
“We’re proud to support the next generation of construction industry leaders through our annual fellowship program,” noted Simpson Strong-Tie CEO Mike Olosky. “The program’s mission is to foster the success of these students as they prepare for their future careers and achievements in our industry.”
The Simpson Strong-Tie Student Scholarship is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals.
