Ware Malcomb announced Aug. 6 that Jamie Gaan has joined its Pleasanton, California, office as studio manager of architecture. In this role, he will help lead the growth and management of the architecture studio and focus on client relationships and business development.
“Jamie will be instrumental in elevating the studio’s design capabilities while providing a robust QA/QC and support role,” said Mark Bartolone, director of architecture at Ware Malcomb. “We welcome his leadership, mentorship and approach to providing high-quality services to clients to ensure project success.”
Gaan brings more than 20 years of industry experience to his role at Ware Malcomb. His career experience includes leading projects in northern California and Washington for his previous firm. His resume includes mixed-use and multifamily developments and hospitality, commercial, retail, life sciences and educational facilities. Along with his diverse architecture and design portfolio, Gaan’s studio leadership, business development, project management, entitlement/permitting and client engagement skills add depth and strength to the architecture studio team.
Gaan earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and minored in environmental design and sustainable design.
Ware Malcomb opened its Pleasanton office in 1997 and has two locations in the region, including an office in downtown San Francisco. The firm’s Bay Area teams have worked on more than 7,200 projects.
